Share price multiplied by the number of shares.
Market capitalization is the total value the stock market gives a company: the share price times the number of shares. It tells you how big a company is, which the share price alone does not.
A company with 1 billion shares at $50 has a market cap of $50 billion.
A $10 stock isn't 'cheaper' than a $500 stock; what matters is the market cap compared with the company's profits. In crypto, market cap works the same way with coins in circulation.
